Identity & Background
I’m Sahil Maurya, a full-stack developer and the founder of Brancha, based in Vadodara, Gujarat, India (online as Kairos).
My entry into technology was driven by curiosity about how things actually work under the surface. Rather than staying confined to theoretical coursework, I learned by building: creating full-stack applications, hacking together prototypes, and shipping tools for real people.
Over the past couple of years, that hands-on approach led me to intern as a full-stack developer at ElevanceSkills, lead Team Kairos to 1st place at HackFest 2k26 with our offline healthcare platform HealthGenie, and launch Brancha — my own Creative & Digital Agency.
What I Do
My work spans software engineering, user interface architecture, and client delivery:
Full-Stack Development
Designing responsive frontends in React, Astro, and Next.js backed by Node.js, FastAPI, and robust SQL/NoSQL databases.
AI Integration & Systems
Embedding open-weights and proprietary LLMs into pragmatic user workflows (as seen in Rivolo AI and HealthGenie).
Web Performance & SEO
Clean typography, fast load times, and structured technical SEO that makes websites usable and easily discoverable.
How I Think

A few operating principles that guide how I work:
- First principles over trend-chasing: Frameworks change frequently, but networking primitives, state management, HTTP semantics, and browser mechanics remain grounded.
- Engineering serves humans: Code is only as good as the outcome it generates. Speed, clarity, and reliability matter more than architectural gymnastics.
- Founder empathy: Running an agency means understanding client economics, practical constraints, and user friction. It keeps engineering disciplined and grounded in reality.

In August 2025, I founded Brancha to consolidate and run my commercial work.
Brancha is my Creative & Digital Agency, focused on website design & development, social media management and digital marketing. I'm building it as a real business — working with clients, delivering real projects and figuring out what it takes to grow something from the ground up.

What I'm Exploring
I maintain an active technical interest in the layers beneath the application:
- Offline-First & Edge Systems: Building resilience into mobile and web apps that can function seamlessly across unstable connectivity.
- Networking & Systems Internals: Packet flow, socket behavior, Linux kernel primitives, and iptables (topics I regularly write about in my notes).
I spend time studying network security and application vulnerabilities. This isn't a pivot away from development, but an extension of it: understanding how systems break makes me a substantially more resilient engineer when designing software.
